Accumulating FF points... FAST????

Hi,
I am new to this forum and have actually only just joined with FF (Qantas), though I have travelled many times (silly to wait so long in hind sight). My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon next year and I am wanting to accumulate as many FF points as I can but don't want to have to pay credit card fees to obtain them. Is there a way?

Welcome to AFF.
It really is harder to get something for nothing. CC schemes can give you the fastest way to earn FFP. Or if you like flying and spending money, LOTS of short trips with QF guaranteed 1,000 minimum will help, will also get you those Status Credits. The only free FFP scheme that comes to mind I think is Flybuys.
I am sure there will be other suggestions posted.

Unless you already have a large credit card spend (i.e. you can pass large business purchases through a points-earning credit card), you will not earn enough QF FF points for a significant award in less than a year. In most cases, you will be better off focusing the effort on saving/earning the cash to purchase the ticket outright. And by purchasing the ticket (rather than redeeming FF points for an award ticket) means you get better choice of flights and flexibility for changes etc.

There is also the fact that if the honeymoon is planned to be an award flight then you wil be looking to book it many months in advance so you probably dont even have a year to accumulate points if you want to get specific dates and destinations.

The only surefire way to get maximum points quickly is actually to fly in business/firs with status - status being the key driver really as well.
