We are off to Bali (Denpasar) for two weeks in January, any suggestions for Accor Platinum?

I was looking at the Sofitel Nusa Dua, good deals with Platinum status getting entrance to Exec Lounge but I was wondering if anybody out there has any other suggestions, ideally 1 week at Sofitel but would like to stay elsewhere where we can maximise Platinum perks, so lounge access etc...

I stayed at the Sofitel Nusa Dua this month and I would highly recommend it. Great new hotel with lovely staff. Exec lounge is the best I have seen in Asia so far. Sorry I haven't answered your question.

I'd have to agree,

We just did 6 night at the Sofitel Nusa Dua, and the executive lounge was great. Free wine tasting every night (which I believe was a promo, but there is bound to be a similar promo on at other times) and a meal voucher to one of the restaurants because we were unable to have our room upgraded.

Indeed, lots of good reviews for Club Millesime (Exec lounge). Did you book a club room or got upgraded? As Accor Platinum I will get access to the lounge but I'm not sure if they would upgrade us from a standard room to a suite...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Don't mean to be a cheapskate, but for my dates this costs $248 a night, cheapest (through Amoma). Going March 11-13, any other suggestions, anyone? Am Accor Plat and HH Diamond

Not sure if you want to stay in Seminyak but I have stayed at the Royal Beach M Gallery and it is great. Good location and the in house restaurant food is top notch.

+1 for the Royal Beach Seminyak.

Stayed there last month with Mrs and Jr and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Am also Accor Plat and they welcomed us with open arms. Booked a Grand Deluxe room during Le Club members sale... was upgraded to a Suite. Welcome drink, free internet, all the usual perks, plus they waited on us hand and foot!

We were very well looked after. And as Neeraj says the food in the in-house restaurant was great. Also, if you do go you must go over the road to Gado Gado. Superb dining which rivals anything we have here in Oz!

-1 for Royal Beach M Gallery Seminyak

I have to disagree, it was a real disappointment. In a word : fake.

If you are opening it up to HHotels too, the Conrad is decent. Think I have a review somewhere here, but their elite treatment is pretty phenomenal.

+1 for the Royal Beach Seminyak.

Unfortunately the Royal Beach Seminyak is not taking any new bookings for stay after January 5, 2015 - possibly closing down to refurbish?
I asked the hotel but they all they could tell me is to get in touch with them again in late November for the latest news...

We'll probably end up staying at the Sofitel Nusa Dua for a few days (chill & relax time) then at the Pullman Legian Nirwana (shop & party time...)

Just booked Sofitel Nusa Dua for 5 nights in December and was thinking either Royal Beach or Legian Nirwana for another 5 nights after that also for party time lol !
Can i ask which one you chose and how were your experiences please ? Many thanks:)

Sofitel Nusa Dua was FANTASTIC - if you are not Platinum (automatic upgrade to Club Millesime) I strongly suggest you pay for lounge access. There's nothing much around Nusa Dua (besides other 5* hotels).

Legian Nirwana was good, not up to the luxury & service level of the Sofitel of course but still a very nice hotel with great attentive staff and good setup, close to the action.

Did not stay at the Royal Beach so cannot comment on this one...

Thanks for the reply and info, much appreciated. Fortunately i am Platinum status so hopefully will benefit from the lounge access :) Done a bit of internet research and found there are some sort of bars available in the area within the hotels as you say so hotel crawl it is then until we get to Legion !:D
