Accor Charging Me More for a Confirmed Stay

[djchuckles]

For anyone following along - I cancelled the Mondrian in the end - and booked Grand Hyatt for 75k points for 3 nights. I was keen to try the Mondrian, and burn some points, but the whole situation didn’t sit very well with me

Sorry for not updating, but the hotel did eventually confirm my stay.

I wanted to personally thank you for your continued loyalty and, most importantly, for your understanding and patience. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and are grateful for your understanding as we have worked through the arrangements for your upcoming stay.

With the complimentary room offer not being taken up, your reservation will remain as originally booked, with all details continuing as confirmed for Thursday, 31 December 2026. I am sorry for any uncertainty or inconvenience you may have experienced, and I hope this confirmation provides some reassurance ahead of your arrival.

We genuinely value your support and look forward to welcoming you to Pullman Sydney Hyde Park. It will be our pleasure to have you stay with us, and we hope you have a wonderful and relaxing stay.

Very ironic they they "personally" apologised with an unsigned email.

Not sure if I'll bother mentioning this in person. But either way, my recommendation will be to avoid this hotel in the future

So they were just trying it on.

Glad you stuck to your guns and got a good outcome.
