Accor ALL Signature Discussion

Even with a slight bump, I will keep going. It has been a great bridge to Diamond for me, as I tend to end up about 2k/3k points short come year end without the Signature bump.

Qantas Money was very nice yesterday to block my transaction for the renewal of my annual membership, and then block my card. Got my card unblocked, and "updated my details on signature for the next charge" - but does anyone know when the next charge will be or how to force it to happen?

My signature is just showing as "payment pending" right now.

These things tend to go on an "auto-retry" for a lot of companies 48-72 hours after the event.
Given the upcoming price changes etc, if I were in your shoes I'd maybe ping off an email to Accor (a specific Signature email if there is one, but otherwise using the standard web form) just to make sure there was an audit trail proving you updated details and attempted to pay before the 1st.

We're still foggy about how any "grandfathering" rules might work.

Hopefully it's all sorted smoothly for you, dude. And I think you may well be the only person I've ever come across to use Qantas Money.

I think you'll find plenty of AFF members churn Qantas Money credit cards.
Fair shout. Try to avoid credit like the plague so those subs never enter my radar. Today I learn.

I know. Believe me, the wife has a good old pop at me on this front as well.
Let's just put it down to strong experiences in childhood influencing me to never touching debt - even if I could be banking some points or freebies.
Debit cards as well ;)
This I didn't know. This I can go investigate over elevenses. 🙇‍♂️

This happened to me with my Amex brilliant. It never renewed, I also did not receive the points from the last payment then got charged twice . After more than a month between contacting Brazil other worldwide offices I did a chargeback which came through then one was charged again. One set of points eventually credited and I cancelled completely. Now I stick with Bonvoy.

Their terms actually address this pretty clearly. After my payment was declined it was promptly re-attempted, you don't need to anything.
3.5.8. If there is a problem with payment when renewing the subscription, the billing rule provides four more attempts: 5 (five) days later, 10 (ten) days later, 15 (fifteen) days later and 20 (twenty) days after the original date.

I had a similar problem with a card I had to cancel due to fraud.
ALL Signature sent me payment links but these did not work.
In the end I went into my ALL account and changed the payment method.
This forced a charge of the previous amount and I received the points and nights.

It successfully billed my card this afternoon, probably 24 hours after the first attempt. Haven't got the points yet, but it's showing as active so I'm sure they'll turn up before end of month.

Was sweating it particularly as this year I was finally going to go for Diamond and 1000 less status points for missing June would have been tricky.
