Access to QF Lounge in HKG

Hi Everyone,

I am travelling from SYD to PEK via HKG in the coming days, and when I booked the ticket on the QF website, it somehow put me on a HX flight between HKG and PEK, instead of CX/KA. Would I have any chance to try to get into QF lounge in HKG, given QF put me on the HX flight from their own website in the first place, and tickets are on the same PNR? (I am QF WP) I know this is remote but thought I would check with the experts just in case.

PS - I am bit annoyed as 2 weeks later I could get onto a KA flight from HKG to PEK that's almost the same price. I didn't bother with it for the $100 change fee. Just disappointed that QF doesn't try harder with its OW partners and actually push its passengers to non-OW airlines, and in this case, not even an airline partner.

Actually surprised they put you on HX.
Particularly given QF codeshares on CZ (China Southern) and MU (China Eastern).

FYI The QF/CX relationship is not that great, so you unfortunately do need to force connections if you want to take advantage of oneworld benefits.

Think unfortunately you will be out of luck, unless you can talk your way in for Arrival Access (the T&Cs are only for Domestic Arrivals access)

Thanks for moa999 for the response. That's what I figured so will have to find something to do in the airport for 3 hours, as I don't think I will be persuasive enough to talk my way into the QF lounge.

The CZ codeshares are only for flights out of CAN and MU out of PVG. None codeshare with QF to HKG.
