Access to AC Lounge transferring from Y to J

I am due to travel YVR-IAH-UIO in December on a single UA economy ticket. The first flight is AC metal with a UA flight number.

If I purchase an upgrade to business for the second sector IAH-UIO (the slightly longer sector), would I have access in YVR to J check in,. J baggage allowance, fast track security, AC lounge? I have no status.

Apologies for *A newbie question, I'm normally a OW guy.
