My recent interaction with VA.
Ring International reservations - three times get engaged signal.
Ring Platinum line, go through tedious hoops to get to a real person.
Call centre person insists on trying to help me even though I know she cannot.
Person wonders why she cannot see my booking reference. Because they cannot see international bookings!
Again I ask to be put through to international reservations. "Sorry they are engaged, they are very busy you know." So am I, you know!
Eventually I am put through.
Hi says I, can you enter my API info because info because I cannot do it through your website.
International call centre person says do you mean ESTA we don't handle that. No says I.
International call centre person says do you mean redress number? No says I.
International call centre person says I am not sure what you mean I will just put you through to someone else. Okay says I.
New international call centre person says okay I will enter your API.
New international call centre person says sorry that our website is so absolutely hopeless.
You are not wrong says I.
New international call centre person sounds utterly embarrassed.
