Maybe FT and AFF can build a campaign just like Citi and pressure them into reversing the changes? LOL.
Except that all we really did with Citi is force them to give notice, AA have already given plenty of notice!

Sri Lanka being moved from Asia 2 to ME/India is a huge kick. From 35k in J to 80k. Woe is me.
Well I would have to point out that it's actually very difficult to get to Sri Lanka with AA anyway. You can get one seat on MH but not two.

Well just locked in my trip, thought I might as well get my points worth. Itinerary goes like this.
OOL-SYD---SYD-PER---PER-MEL-AUH-CAI
--- denotes overnight layover to visit family.
120K for 2 PAX in F get the apartments while they last ;-)

Oh dear! Some serious devaluation to/from Asia.

May have to rush to book a trip. Sad.

is it possible to get 2 F apartments on EY or do they release only 1 for each flight?

One 'aadvantage' i can see: Asia 1 redemptions become 5,000 miles cheaper in J.

Not great news, particularly to the US and Europe. At least my Europe trip is booked for next year. Aust - Middle East/India...huge change!

Thanks, I'm surprised I didn't get pinged for non direct route or going over the MPM, was tempted to see if I could throw a NZ sector in just for laughs.

It's been ticketed? Somehow an error has crept in which didn't get picked up as there wouldn't be a published fare for that routing I wouldn't have though.

Well, it certainly was good whilst it lasted; I got to fly F on BA SYD to LHR via SIN, LHR to MEL in F via DXB and CX F JFK-HKG, and similar trips in J.

Most of all I'll miss getting Aawards DRW-SYD/MEL-WLG/AKL in J for what is generally not much more than economy prices!

A 20% increase for economy awards and ~15% increase for business awards is minor?

Well it could have been worse. It is still one of the better programs considering that there is no fuel fines paid for these awards, compare to say QF/SQ etc.

I think the original AA awards are too generous anyway, look at all those funky routings people have done in the past, or flying EY Apartments for bargain price!

If your tolerance for devaluations is so low then accumulating miles might not be the game for you.
