AAdvantage Award Booking - QF WP Status

Hi guys

I have made an AAdvantage booking that obviously has my AA frequent flyer number in it.
How can I have my QF WP number added so I can choose better seats?

I called AA twice and both times they've said they did it, but the QF MMB still shows the AA number and the seat selection reflects no status - ie row 5 on a 767 in J.

I called QFF and they cut me off as I read the PNR and said call AA.

Can it be done?
Can it be done online?

It can be done ... I'd suggest calling AAdvantage in the USA.

1. Login with manage my booking on the QF webpage
2. Note down the QF-PNR (this is NOT the same as the AA PNR due to different booking systems)
3. Call QF, give them the QF-PNR and ask them to remove your AAdvantage number in favour for your QFF number.

I'd previously had to call AA to make the change.

Can be done online quite easily (once your booking tickets!).

1. Log into QF MMB using the record locator provided by AA (yes, this works). It'll correlate with the QF/Amadeus PNR which will show up on-screen.
2. Go to either Royal Jordanian or Finnair's website, enter the PNR provided by QF's MMB, and on those two (at least, possibly others that use Amadeus) you can swap in/out FF #.

Simple and requires no phone calls. Have lodged three AAdvantage Reward bookings against my QFF # now.

Fill in your details, and in the comments box ask them to do exactly what you want.

e.g. Please update my booking, Record Locator ABC123, with my Qantas FF# 12345678, so i am able to gain access to Emerald seat selection on the Qantas website. Thanks.

When I have made a booking with AA redemption I ask AA to search the booking for the QF booking number which is different to the AA record locator, then I place the QF booking number when logged into the QF website and then seem to have all the functions that a WP would have on QF metal.
