How do you find out the booking class on the AA website when making reservations?

ie, How do you know if the fare earns Status Credits and QFF points?

Someone else told me I have to call AA India to add my QFF details to the booking.

thanks

Chucksta

Once you have selected flights, then select continue without logging into your AAdvantage account, the resultant pricing page has a hyperlinked string of text "Fare rules and on time flight information"

Click on this and it will display something like KUPP7ZN if a KUPP fare.

What is a KUPP fare?

Similar to a YUP fare - cheap first class fare.

If you select first class with restrictions it will return KUPPxx or YUPPxx

After reading your other threads on DCIRC's I assumed you would be looking for these types of fares for first class SC earning.

Sorry,

Is a KUPP the same as a YUP? Both earning First SC?

What about economy flights on AA? How do you find out the booking class on the AA website?

Same procedure (except choose economy with/without restrictions rather than first class), but fare basis will show something like Mxx_xx, or Vxx_xx where M/V is the booking class

A dummy booking DEN-ORD for 13th April - economy with restrictions - returns fare basis code K26Z. This would be K class for points / SC earning

Tried a booking from LAX-LAS and got a booking code of QA14QDN

Does this mean Q class and this does not earn QFF points or SC?

From Airline Earning Table:
GLMNSV Discount Economy 0.5
BHKY Economy 1.0

AA you suck.

I have called the AA number in Australia 3 times to try and pay for my US domestic bookings.

Each time it just hangs up after 20 mins of waiting...

Can OW-E / QF-WP access the AA Admiral's Club Lounge when travelling on American Eagle in Y?

I assume WP can gain access when travelling on domestic AA flights, not sure about American Eagle...

Absolutely!

(Last Nov I spent 2½ hours in the JFK F/L ere my ¾ hour AeAgle flight to BOS. (Similar to the return, except the BOS A/C, fine establishment that it is, isn't a patch on the JFK F/L)

How long does it take for AA to issue an Eticket?

I spoke with AA INdia on Saturday and they told me would be processed by AA in Australia on Monday.

THey also converted the fares to AUD.

Check the booking on AA.com

It should be showing: "Status: Ticketed"

If it's an E-ticket, when ticketing is complete it should show "Status: Ticketed - <date>"
