American Airlines, Qantas Airways propose a joint business agreement with antitrust immunity | Airline Biz Blog | dallasnews.com
American Airlines Inc. and Qantas Airways are asking regulators for antitrust immunity so they can jointly set fares and schedules, the two carriers said Wednesday night.

The request for a joint business comes as Qantas prepares to launch service between Sydney and Dallas/Fort Worth on Monday. The service is nonstop from Sydney to D/FW, and one-stop through Brisbane on the westbound trip, and operates four days a week. ...
Hmmm ... I wonder how that can help them - AA currently do not fly Transpacific. Maybe it's to to with intra USA or Oz flights.

But they can sell AA code share seats at a price to match UA of DL

Maybe??
I dont understand the whole antitrust immunity thing sounds like survivor to me
