Hi AA experts.

Can anyone please confirm how many points I would need for a J redemption on CX for BNE-HKG-MLE and rtn?

Also, do infants (<2) travel for free on AA redemptions or is it the same number of points as for an adult?

TIA.

45k in J each way pp. You can either route via HKG or KUL or even AUH on EY

If you want to save some points its only 35k from CMB

I somehow missed your reply smit0847, sorry. You said points are per person so just to clarify, a <2 year old still costs 45k points too?

I don't think you can actually? I asked Lucky about this in a OMAAT comment and he confirmed that you cannot transit in ME.

Have you booked this?

I believe you can transit in this case (ie use EY) as MLE is considered Middle East on the AA award chart...

Excellent news! I was assuming Srilanka and Maldives was in the same zone (Asia Zone 2)

So can't do MEL-AUH-CMB but can do MEL-AUH-MLE, perfect!

Given the cost of tickets CMB-MLE on UL I would also consider BNE-xx_-CMB and add the second ticket.

YMMV as I like wandering
