tad frustrated, usually my domestic us flts credit within 2 days of completion to my qf acct.
flts all in nov: 15, 17, 20, 21.
1st & 4th p class. 2nd n n & 3rd n g.
have spent a bit of time on phone with aa, unable to help, can't get through to advantage, I have a number but never use it, & no clue what it is. I can't get through w/out advantage number.
mileage run Sunday, weather permitting. I did ask at one of check ins that qf number n booking, as I had entered, advised yes.
would appreciate any suggestions to rectify situation.
this trip has had some challenges, & would like to see it all come together.
many thanks

I suspect there might be an issue at the moment.

My AA flight on the 11th credited within 24 hours. Nothing from my flights on the 16th and 19th (5 flights total; 4 in F).

for any flights taken your qantas frequent flyer number will appear on your boarding pass.

for upcoming flights, you should be able to change any existing frequent flyer number via the manage your booking function on the finnair website (at least I could with my Avios award booking).

if your flights haven't credited to qantas, you need to call qantas.

if you didn't have a frequent flyer number in your booking then you'll need to do a retroactive credit.

to get through an automated booking system does it allow you to say 'agent' at any time? this should connect you through. (or alternatively call the reservations centre and have them connect you).

Thanks, it does have my ff number on bp. I was put through to advantage, but couldn't get connected as no aa number. No 'agent' request on automated phone line.

what is your suggestion? Unsure if qf can help if aa hasn't released. Still n states, what is email for qf. I did try the missing points option, but didn't work, came up error.
thank you.

just give it time to post... unless there is an urgent reason you need it (for example lounge access).

Alternatively call Qantas locally in the states - they'll connect you to Australia if outside working hours.

If/when your pts, etc post, will you please let me know.

Can you bring the bookings up on line? If so, is you QFF number showing?

Have you retained the Boarding passes for the flights already taken? The QFF numbers should be printed on these.

As for crediting, you really need to wait a few more days before putting a claim in.

Finally, ALWAYS hang onto your BP's untill the flights credit properly.

Thanks Serfty, yes have boarding passes. Next sun/mon flt reservation have qf number in. Have been basing this experience on on past trips, perhaps not good thing to do.

With over 100 flights on AA I have found timely and correct posting to occur only about 70% of the time, although it has become somewhat better in recent years.

Often the posting does not occur, or takes a week or even simply posts incorrectly.

Unless you really need them to post within a certain time frame, I would simply relax, finish your trip and worry about posting of points/SC's when your journey is complete. Just keep those BP's and get ready with your scanner and email.

I've had the same issue with AA flights not posting for travel on 19 Nov, 21 Nov, 22Nov when the QF ff nbrs have been on the boarding passes.

The quickest that AA points have posted to QF in the past is 24 hours with the longest being 72 hours.

Like you I've kept my boarding passes so I can always follow up with QF when I get back home if need be.

I didn't :(

(I've never had an issue with AA before so I didn't bother).

I'll leave it for a couple of weeks and just lodge a missing claim if need be. I'm not in a rush for the SCs.

Glad to hear it's not an isolated incident anyway.

Flew AA status run from SFO-SJU Early November and these flight posted within 48 hrs. But the status run from SJU-SAN mid Nov has not posted yet. Will wait the obligatory period before making a retro claim but seems like this problem is more endemic.

My original query for flts between 11/15 & 22 still not credited to qf account but 5 flts 12/1-2 already credited, leave states tomorrow us time 10pm, any suggestions. Confirms my thought of something wrong with other trips. Aa say they can't help.

Nothing here yet. It'll need to be lodged as a missing points claim with QF - not AA.

Well bugger.

I will try later :)

QF God smiled on me recently.

Missed an AA flight in F so I had to travel in Y instead.

Saw no SCs at all so I sent off an email to QF with a scan of both the F & Y BPs (I did not use the CLAIM MISSING POINTS option).

Some 2 weeks after the email, I saw the F SCs in my account (120 instead of 20) !

Thank you, QF

Just curious, what email did u use, claim missing pts doesn't work. Thanks

I had some flights with AA earlier in the year which did not get credited to my QFF account... Turns out the flight numbers changed at the last minute so my ticketed flight number no longer existed... despite it being what was printed on the boarding pass. Rang Qantas who managed to sort things out and have my points credited eventually.
