What is the AA domestic check in facilities like in the USA?

I will be checking in bags, so probably not much point using online checkin.

Is it advisable to use curb side check in?

I will be travelling in First on AA and also Economy on AA Eagle

I just rocked up to the desk and checked in the F lane - no dramas for me. I havent bothered with kerbside check in - I wont pay someone $2 to carry my bags.

I am ;) Given I generally have no checked luggage or a roller bag with four wheels - I am not seeing much return on investment for that $2 :)

US$2 at that!

Chucksta, you could still OLCI / Flight Check-In to print your boarding passes,. Then to check bags when you get to the airport, you can use the Self Service Check-In machines by selecting the "Check Bags Only" option.

I can spot a bean counter from a mile away!! lol

Though having said that, I wouldn't pay someone US$2 to carry my bag inside either.

If you have some status with Oneworld then go to the first check in counter with AA. Never a problem, I have always found their check in staff friendly and helpful.

Ditto. And I'm not even an accountant. ;)

Never had a problem with the F check in counter. Always quick and easy and not more than a person at any one time in the queue.; which is lucky as I was forced to use the counters due to being on paper tix.

Only exception thus far was DCA - must have rocked up during peak time but it still was only a <10 minute wait. Oh and zero staff manning the non-bag drop counters at MSY until one woman appeared and was shocked that there was actually work to do.

$2/bag + tip. The tip ensures that your bags end up on the plane with you, the $2 goes to AA.

Never had any real issue with checking in bags domestically in the U.S. Have used the First line when it's busy and was quickly through.

Does this mean WP earns 100% bonus on AA domestic flights where QF status credits are earned:

If you are a Silver, Gold, or Platinum Frequent Flyer, you'll earn extra points (your Status bonus) when you fly on eligible~ Qantas, Jetstar, British Airways and American Airlines® flights

When using the kiosks to check in you get flimsy paper boarding pass printed. Not that it matters to most people but if you are interested in a cardboard boarding passes then get the flimsy boarding passes replaced at the Admirals Club lounge.
