AA agent for booking DONE4/5 ex-JNB?

In light of the new sale, just wondering if anyone has experience with dealing with any agents in JNB for making DONEx bookings ticketed on AA?

Are there any issues with booking through AA (eg have to pay for and pick up the ticket in person) that can be avoided by booking through another agent?

Obviously the aim is to try and reduce +++, which still seem to be quite high according this thread (though still lower than QF).

Surely if you make your itinerary eticketable (ie no open segments) picking up is no longer a concern? AA has a very capable office down at CPT.

You want to ring up the AA ATW desk to set up your itinerary at +1800 247 3247 during business hours Dallas time. Tell them that you want to have the itinerary rated for a purchase in South Africa. Call back 2-24 hours later for a price quote. After doing that, ring up AA CPT to discuss payment: American Airlines Ticket Sales Centers For South Africa On Aa.com

Have used the CPT office many times. They are very efficient, and you can do most things by email. The will ask you to fax or pdf a few documents over. Have dealt with Cindy and others in the office, and they are all good. From memory they charge around US$20 for an issuing fee. All in, a very easy process. And yes, South African DONE4's are great value again....
