Hi Guys,

I'll be travelling MEL to LAX on the A380 in the next few weeks. I'm 6'5" tall and opted to not pay the additional $180 for an emergency exit seat in favour of selecting a normal bulkhead seat (66F) and requesting an upgrade to PE/J and crossing my fingers. I'm currently seated in 66F and the emergency exit seats are now all blocked out according to my lowly gold status. Have I made a mistake, or is 66F an okay seat for a solo traveler of my size? Would it be better to select an aisle seat elsewhere?

Thanks for the help.

196cm?

While row 66 centre seating is very good bulkhead seating, at that height I'd be praying for the upgrade ...

I would be more concerned that you don't have an Aisle seat and even though there is more knee room you can not slide your feet out into aisle or under the seat in front of you. In addition the entrance to the crew rest area is located at the nd of the row and there can be constant traffic in and out through the door on the side which can be very annoying.

PRAY for the upgrade
