A380 OQA mostly repaired - Back in air by end of April?

I saw footage of them preparing for the flight last night on Sky News and she looked really dirty. I guess they were only focused on one thing and a clean up can come later.

Probably why she'll be in SYD for a week before going back into service.
 
Yes let's hope they have done a better job than Boeing did when they replaced the rear pressure bulkhead on the JAL 747 after the tailstrike which led years later to the crash of JAL 123

Was she heading out? I did see an A380 take off as I headed in to the airport at around 4:30pm, which seemed a little late for a SIN or LAX departure.

Haha. I'm wondering if it's possible to get it to land there... May be a slight overrun. :p

VH-EBQ required a lot of things to be removed to lighten her up before she attempted her landing.

If A380's are ever retired to Longreach I think they'll do better just extending the runway.



 
You might be surprised. An A380's approach speed is quite a bit lower than that of a 747..,
