I'm happy to report that on our recent flight MEL-LAX on QF93 3 of us were succesful in getting our requested points upgrade from discount Y to PE. What was even better was that we were given seats 38 DEF which have fantastic leg room which my 6' 3" husband really appreciated. I was also very excited to see as we boarded that the plane was the brand new one that had only been delivered about a week previously (Hudson Fysh I think it is called). The crew confirmed that this was only its 3rd flight.

Row 38 is good only drawback is that many use it as the easiest way to get to the toilet which is nearby and if you are sleeping then a few times you might get a leg knocked as people go by. It didnt really bother me but I know my husband found it a little annoying.

A great flight overall, I'm happy to try and answer any questions anybody may have about PE on the A380.

Cheers
