Can anybody tell me if Emirates are flying the A 380 into and out off Melb yet.
Also is it being used regularly, and on all flights.
Can I have comments from everybody on their Emirates experiences please.

I don't think that they are using a 380 into Melbourne yet

As far as EK goes, I have only used their 1st class but have found them extremely good and are now a 1st choice for travel where logical. Their service is door-to-door with being provided chauffeur drive at start and end of each trip and their suites put QF to shame ; nice lounges and v good service onboard

They must be a bit wary about scraping the tail of one of those along the ground

FWIW I flew economy on the EK 380 on what I believe is the shortest commercial A380 route, SYD-AKL-SYD. I paid ~$325 return which was comparable in cost to the other LCC (think JQ and DJ) and received meals, refreshments and baggage allowance.

Being on a super jumbo and having many more passengers, the service probably is a bit slower. Also the huge width made it felt like there was sooooooo much more people!

Having said that, EK allows seat selection including bulkhead seats (which I pre-allocated on both legs) as well the choice to allocate exit rows (subject to meeting the requirements).

I flew SYD-AKL-SYD on Emirates A380 in First and absolutely loved it. Highly recommended if you can afford it or can use points. However, if I hadn't used points for award redemption there's no way I'd be shelling out $2,200 for the return trip in F.
