Coming out of discussion on another thread, it turns out QPE flew the QF77 PER - SIN flight last Sunday with the planes IFE effectively down and then used for QF82 SIN - SYD arriving Monday morning. The plane hasn't been taken out of service and if unable to rectify that Monday prior to the QF5 run, probably still not working.
Was wondering if any other recent history with this plane.

Could be that QF are waiting for parts from the supplier before repairing.

May well be the case but how appropriate is it for QF to send out long haul flights with no IFE and offering no compensation?
Hopefully not the case and QF relying on human nature to save money where no body complains if all are in the same 'boat'.

They may not have much of a choice about not sending the flight away (QF have had some 330's under maintenance in BNE lately). However, the customer recovery such be better.
