A pilot's experience flying in Yemen and Afghanistan

I wouldn't normally link to the PPRuNe forum, but I found these two threads absolutely fascinating. They detail the experience of a contract-based captain, from the UK I think, who spent six months flying for the national airline of Yemen, based in Aden, and 10 months flying for Afghan airline Kam Air, based in Dubai.

Very insightful and actually quite entertaining to read.
