London is home to the Royal Festival Hall, The Albert Hall and The Barbican. For me, London would be all about concerts. Next May it's the Royal Philhamonia (Festival Hall), Eric Clapton (Albert Hall) and maybe whatever The Barbican is showing for my wife and I. Then of course there's live theatre as well to tempt you.
Too much to see and so little time, I'd love to live there for a month.

This bar is one of my FAV's in London - although a bit rustic for some, it gets good reviews and the people are fantastic. Why go to London to hang out with fellow Aussies? Geez, I don't know but you are guaranteed a good time!

It's 5 minutes walk from Bayswater tube station at the most and you will get a cold crownie or a good Aussie wine there - oh yeah, did I mention lots of fellow Aussies?

The bar also has some big screens where events of national importance such as any St. Kilda game :D , AFL grand final or "Grumpy Old Men" get played - you just need to get your timing right and be in for a loooooong day on Grand Final Days....

I also suggest that a Boat ride to Greenwich, a tour through the oldest brewery in town, and a walk up the hill to the observatory is worth the effort - Royal Observatory : Places : NMM - oh yeah, across from the brewery is a traditional British pie shop - again, worth the effort for a steak and kidney with mushy peas!

Have fun in London....

You should consider going to Piccadilly Circus (its not that great) but then walk straight down regent st. The Christmas lights are stunning at the moment. Its a nice walk down regent street and just off regent st is carnaby street which also has some wonderful xmas decorations.
