Time to hitch up the camels.

Tomorrow, it’s sliding into 1A again. This time, PER-DRW in preparation for boarding The Ghan on Wednesday morning for the 2,979km run to Adelaide, arriving Saturday morning.

There will off-train excursions at Katherine, Alice Springs and Manguri/Coober Pedy on the way. Then it will back on the bird ADL-PER Saturday afternoon to complete the loop.

Doing the Ghan from Darwin to Adelaide in August as an add on to an overland tour from Broome to Darwin.

Can’t wait to hear about your experiences especially the off train options as I still haven’t made up my mind 😎

🛤🚞😎

The off-train excursions are included. The only option seems to be if you want to fly out to/over Uluru during the ASP stop.

I hope you're enjoying the Grant Burge sparkling ;)

With the helo, I highly recommend the option where you stop at a waterhole for a swim.
