Just clarifying I've read the aa a/c rules properly for access to a/c usa in the instance of flying dom. aa, no access as qg member if not flying on int'l in the same day? I have three domestic flts. not connected to int'l connections.

My understanding of rules I can purchase a day pass that is good for that particular day. I'll be flying first class but p code that I think is not eligible to sfo a/c. i'm on f code but in seattle that appears not to have a club.

Just wanting to make sure I'm not reading the rules correctly and do have access, wishful thinking, I think. ;)

i fly out sunday.
cheers

QF Gold will have access and drinks vouchers.

It is only AA members that get screwed by AA with no lounge access unless flying int'l.

parsonstrish,

As simongr says you simply need to show your QF Gold card to be allowed into AA Admirals Club lounges. Do make sure you are given drink vouchers (and ask for more if you need them)as AA members have to pay for their drinks and you are entitled to them. ;)

Thanks guys, I was hesitant to ask the ? as I have learned so much here and try to have a good understanding of things before I ask. In this case, I was wrong and thankful for it. Such good news.

Straitman, are still in states? I will be flying sea to sfo also, did you have a delayed flt. due to the fog? I'm a bit concerend if I don't get the booked flt. seeing as I have booked upgrades and have a missed flt. I may miss out on the upgrade seating on next flt. I've picked up the status run fever and hoping I won't miss any of my upgrade booked flts.

parsonstrish,

I think we will cross somewhere over the Pacific:!:

We flew into SFO today from SEA and were delayed approx 2 hrs due fog in SFO. We were originally due in at 1255 but arrived at 1445. (By the way the Alaska Air B737-900's are a big step up from the AA MD-80's.)
We leave SFO at 1900 on Sat for LAX then on to MEL and arriving at approx 0900 Monday.

Are you staying in SFO? This weekend through (& incl Sun) is Fleet Week in San Francisco. We arrived at Fisherman's Wharf this afternoon to a flying display by the Blue Angels. Exceptionally good and exceptionally low. They are on each day between 3 and 4 pm.

Thanks straitman, my flt. is due to leave 12:05 from sea. Where is the alaska airlines lounge at sfo?

i am due to arrive 10ish am sunday so may give the activities you suggested a go. i'm staying at the hilton a/port, great opening price of us$82 for bay view room plus taxes.
cheers

You'll only get access to the AS lounge if you're travelling in Paid F either on an AS or AA code. SG/WP do not have access to the AS lounges (As AS is not part of Oneworld).

Sucks as I have an AS codeshare from SFO to LAX in whY on Saturday week, and I have no lounge access (friend booked the fare for us and didn't realise).

IIRC, The AA lounge is opposite gate 67 in SFO.

Drewbles, I booked with aa and am on f code (upgrade fare but ticket says f) but putting pts. to qf. Does this mean I can access the lounge?
cheers,
trish

Yup you should be fine. AA codes on AS metal ticketed as F are able to access the AS Boardroom. Just show them your BP at the lounge desk.

Pretty much the same scenario we had.

The lounge in SEA is quite nice and the AS staff very friendly and helpful.

Agreed .. loads of comfy couches upstairs and no need for drink chits when going to the bar. First/Flagship lounges aside, it's easily the nicest domestic lounge I've been to in the US.
