And falling out of trees, scrapping knees on rocks under the rope swing down the river, cutting bare feet on oysters whilst catching bait for fishing, falling into the bright green water in the bottom of the quarry because the 44 gal drum used to paddle out rolls over (of-course it does, this is how you learn these things), etc, etc, and not a parent in sight.
