Came in on QF94 from LAX this morning and arrived 30 mins early. Didn't help much as Emirates were about to load in our bay.
Waited 1/2 hour and it was looking good until the FO advised there was a spill at the bay and we waited another 40 mins before we could unload.
I'm now sitting in the QP looking out an an SQ380 which has been sitting out on the runway area for over 40 mins probably waiting to unload.
I don't normally fly into Melb, is this "normal" or is it just one of those days!

Under the Northern Winter timetable, the daily A380 service operated by SQ to MEL is scheduled to arrive at 07:50 before turning around at 16:45. The flight arrived on time today so the aircraft you saw was most likely being parked at a remote bay in the meantime.

Thanks - that seems to make some sense as it was being towed somewhere at 1pm as we taxied out. Like I said Melb is not my normal 380 port, so it just seemed an odd place to park a plane.
