The Airbus A330 Interior

Cebu Pacific Air’s Airbus A330 has 436 seats, 4 galleys, 21.5 trolleys and 8 lavatories

Note the 3-3-3 seating (QF is 2-4-2). Exit row seats cost PHP1500 to select (AUD36 or so).

(.5 of a trolley?)

436 people on an A330 - nice, not.

And 9 across in economy?

I looked at this thread earlier and had some interest in the airfare. Best to wait until you have all information before considering booking a trip in a sardine can.

Did you book from MEL or SYD?

EDIT: Make that: how are you getting to SYD?

Looks like it is sold out now. Lowest fare on their monthly calendar is 195 ex SYD and 140 ex MNL

edited... then they add taxes... starter lite fare is coming up as $543 total. Lower prices display but then increase as you select the date.

Their fares were showing inclusive of taxes earlier. Strange!

maybe they are inclusive of taxes... the price on the fare calendar gives a price of $195+, when you click through it gives a lowest price $299. Maybe it's just a case that the 195 has sold out.

Well done to those who got the bargain! For $139 return it might have been fun. For $540 maybe not so much :(

(Their meal add-ons are expensive! AUD13 for a small square dish of pasta!)

I had absolutely no plans to visit MNL though but I did book too :D We are travelling 20NOV14-29NOV14. We ended up paying $342.00 for two passengers with seat selection (we chose the back where it's 2-4-2 configuration). No baggage and no meals but when you head to warm weather, you don't need to carry that much.

Here's the breakdown of the costs if anyone is interested:-

Form of Payment : VI
Currency Code : AUD
Airfare & Others : 342.00
Discount : 0.00
DPSC : 0.00
Total : 342.00
Vatable Sale : 0.00
VAT-Exempt : 296.50
VAT Zero-Rated : 45.50
Sub Total : 342.00

For those wondering about the schedule:
Manila – Sydney
5J7295 MNL0015 – 1005SYD 330 x135
5J7296 SYD1135 – 1730MNL 330 x135

Actually quite good flight times for connecting to and from SYD on separate itineraries.

90 mins is actually rather long to turnaround an ultra-LCC isn't it?

Well there are over 400 seats on this plane so that's a lot of people to move. Not to mention Filipinos are apparently big on luggage (like the balikbayan box).
