Hey All,

A while ago I posted about doing a round the world ticket, without actually going around the world.. Since then our travel plans have changed and now i want to book the following to connect with an existing booking from Australia - Dallas.

Leg 1: DFW-YYC 13Aug (PM)
Leg 2: YYC-SFO 20 Aug
Leg 3: SFO-LAS 24 Aug
Leg 4: LAS-SJU 27 Aug
Leg 5: SJU-MCO 4 Sep
Leg 6: MCO-JFK 10 Sep
Leg 7: JFK-YYZ 15 Sep
Leg 8: YYZ-DFW 17 Sep (PM)

I Have found i can get from YYC to YYZ (via the legs listed above) for about $1100pp on a 6 segment multi city trip search. The remaining 2 legs are about $700pp. I tried breaking it up into 2 x 4leg trips, but that lost all my savings.. It seems the more legs you add, the cheaper the multi ticket gets.. Is there anyway to get all 8 on the one ticket? I also want that all on AA (except the YYC-SFO which is on Alaska via SEA) for the qantas status credits & points (so no O class fares please).

Anyway, any help would be appreciated :)
Cheers
Carl

Have you worked out how many SC and points will accrue?

Do you want to see if you can book this F with restrictions?

Is your question you want to connect the booking numbers?

Basically i just wanted to book it all on the one ticket.. (excluding the Australia-DFW part).. I tried individual one ways and it was much more expensive.. the multi city search engine on either AA.com or matrix.itasoftware.com provided great prices when booking as a multi-city ticket. unfortunately, they cap out at 6 segments, and i need 8.. Can a travel agent add those extra 2 legs or is 6 the max?

also am flying in economy, looking for either GLMNSV or BHKY fares.. cheaper the better, but one of those classes so I at least get the status credits.. i total (with the AUS-Dallas legs adds up to 250 SC's)

16 is the max; you'll need to either use a TA or call AA.

"I also want that all on AA (except the YYC-SFO which is on Alaska via SEA) for the qantas status credits & points (so no O class fares please)" - presumably you mean AA codeshares on AS metal.

To book online, maybe you can leave the shorter segments out (SFO-LAX, NYC-YYZ) and open jaw them with separate bookings. (I have not tried this)
