I was reading about this yesterday and I read that because of this rest area, J passengers on one side of row 1, 2 & 3 do not have overhead storage bins. The plastic moulding is there but no handle to open the overhead.3

Edit: Here is the link showing the lack of overhead for passengers in seats 1J, 2J and 3J. http://www.ausbt.com.au/air-new-zealand-boeing-787-9-business-class-seat-review

Also Y pax in "The last four middle rows of economy seating – rows 62 through to 65, seats D, E and F – are directly underneath the Boeing 787's crew rest area, where cabin crew steal some sleep between shifts. This means there's no overhead luggage bins above those seats".
