I went to Sydney and back from MEL today, upgraded both ways and really enjoyed the new 767 seats. Actually I was expecting the A380 seats but think I am confusing with the newly fitted-out 747s?
Meal was good because I ordered Indian vegetarian, I was very surprised this actually appeared on a 50 minute flight.
Well "50 minute flight" because as we approached 16 at Tulla there was all kinds of throttling up, throttling down, I was half asleep and felt something was weird. We were maybe a couple of hundred feet (? less) over the runway when they executed a very late missed approach, once we reached the circuit altitude and turned crosswind the captain announced it was due to winds. I think there was a significant tailwind.
In many hundreds of flights this is my first go-around.
