737, Row 1 vs Row 4 legroom

My other half is 161cm and couldn't lock her knees out, whereas this is easy in any other row on the plane.

From this perspective, row 1 is the worst for legroom on the whole plane!!!

Row 1 is terrible for legroom, plus you can't hang your iPad on the seat in front of you!

Like a previous poster, I choose rows 2, 3, then 1. I used to choose row 3 for privacy, but occasionally missed out on my meal choice, so now sit in row 2.

Row 4 may have more legroom, but not shoulder width. I hate having my shoulders jammed up against someone for a long flight.

Row 1 is my pick in j, as from the window i can still get out around the person in the aisle. Thats impossible in row 2/3. As for row 4 yeah its great and does have more room than any j row.

I wonder why QF left so much legroom in row 4? Why wouldn't they give that legroom to (say) row 1?

As I'm generally never on a 737 for more than about 2 hours, I'll stick with row 4 every time and save points. Lately the FA's have been great with offering a beverage or 2 from J when in row 4 and TBH the only reason I'd want to be up the front is for the catering, however on a 2~ hour flight I'm not really fussed.
