Hi all,

Just something that I came across when making a couple of reservations today. It seems that Stamford are currently offering double points/miles when booking their Best Available Rate (many of which are below their usual $$$ minimum for points/miles eligibility). I can confirm that this is currently on offer for Sir Stamford Circular Quay (SYD) and Stamford Plaza Melbourne, and can only assume that similar offers may be available for other properties too.

To be eligible, you need to select a rate similar to "Best available rate incl double miles" - either on their website, or over the phone during business hours direct to the hotel that you want to reserve.

Essentially, 6 QFF per $1 spent, or double miles/Ks/Airpoints for their other airline partners. :D

Also, just as a general note, Firefox doesn't seem to recognise the issuer of their SSL certificate on the reservations page, however just clicking the X in the corner on the warning fixes the problem (as the content is still fully encrypted). :)

PS: I've noticed that the Qantas website has recently changed to show that points are now only earned on room rates (for all hotels), and are not earned on any incidental charges (mini bar, room service, telephone, laundry, hotel restaurants, etc etc)... When was this changed?
