Hi,
Can anyone help! I'm stuck in MEL international next Saturday for 6 hrs from around 17:30. Looking at the Qantas website both the F and J lounges close at approximately 17:30 ish :( Can anyone suggest any lounges I can visit being QF Platinum? As it seems hardly any international flight depart after 18:00 so no need for lounges to be open.

Thanks in advance

So what airline are you flying out on? Do they have a lounge and would you have access?

If it's not a QFi/OneWorld airline then you probably wouldn't have lounge access anyway.

Hi Hvr, I'm traveling on, Qantas Code share flight, Fiji Airways. One world

Cheers

I did this last year and I'm fairly sure you are out of luck, unless things have changed. Was a pretty horrible wait late at night, and the first time I have had to sit in the terminal in a long time. Never thought it would happen in AU on a QF ticket, but there you go...

Fiji Airways is not OneWorld, once Qantas close there are no lounges to access. You would be better off going to domestic and enjoy the lounge there as long as you can.

I also think you should go to the domestic J lounge, it's open until late.
The big advantage of MEL airport is that the Domestic terminal is just a short walk from International.

thanks Markis10 and boomy, As my boarding pass will be issued in Perth, it'll have Qantas printed on it, so was wondering if I could use MH, CX or even EK lounges as they have late departures??

No, it needs to be a One World operated and marketed flight, and the lounges would be week aware no such flights with QF exist after 5 or so.
