I called when the offer was on my husband’s account but not mine to be told it was targeted so not available for me. A month-ish later I received the offer via email.

Despite that, I reckon it’s worth a call!
spoke to amex last week, but was told said offer on my account expired mid-June...
they still reassured that they run similar offers frequently, so missed it this time but will keep an eye out.

Was on phone to Amex earlier to add supplementary cardholder to DJs card. $500 spend before 31 Oct for 5,000 points.
While on phone, rep offered to add it to Essentials card for same bonus.

Excellent! Just what I have been waiting for! Rang up and added one for MrsNoName. Really perfect timing with Shop Small coming up!

I just received my new AMEX Platinum today and spoke with customer service who mentioned I can get 5000 points if I assign 2 more of the 4 additional card holders (I already allocated 2 straight out of the box). No talk of any spend.

I am gonna ask a dumb question here....for the first time, i have applied for a supp card for my two brothers (One Explorer and one Velocity Plat)

Will their spending appear on my credit card bill ? Or they will get their own bill ?

It’ll appear on yours (but you’ll see which card was used for each transaction)

If the email was sent to you for that card, yep, you should be fine.
They’re often targeted, so if you applied via someone else’s offer, or a link for another card, then not likely.

See my post here earlier today for what appears to be a change in the approval process for additional AMEX cards:

Are people seeing the bonus points show in their account as soon as the $500 spend is met (as usually seems to happen with Amex bonuses)? Have spent >$1k so far and not seen anything. Was not sent an invite however called and was told I was eligible.
