50% status credit offer

I received the 50% status credit offer in October/November but not this one.

The bookings I had in the system then are the same as the bookings I have in the system now and will easily get me to Platinum.

If these offers were so predictable then the lounges would be overcrowded and they would have to dilute more benefits. Oh, wait....

Booked a return work trip BNE - LAX and a personal holiday BNE - SYD - MNL

Received one of these offers a few days ago. I need to fly CGK-MEL-CGK flex in late March (so within the booking window) and was going to wait to book, but am now considering doing so now to take advantage of the offer. Question is, if I change my flights (say in mid-March) will I lose the 50% SC bonus? Refer the terms and conditions at the base of the offer email:

"If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking this bonus offer will not apply."

I imagine this means that if I book a flex ticket, and have to change, I will lose the 50% offer, even though they are still within the required window. Can anyone with more expertise (so everyone here) confirm my thinking is correct? Thanks.

You are correct hanger.on. You need to fly what you've booked or miss out on the bonus.
