50 SC for signing up to Qantas Health Insurance

Oh wow this NIB/Qantas Insurance really worked out for me.

1) Same premium as my old Medibank Private cover but up a level from Bronze to Silver cover
2) First month technically free thanks to the 30k points giveaway, so makes the whole deal even cheaper.
3) Status Bonus got me over the line to Platinum with no flights left during my membership year.

Now I hope NIB is as easy to deal with as MBP.
NIB/QF were extremely easy to deal with when I was with them last year.

My points posted a couple of days ago from the October sign-up.
No sign of the SCs.
I gather from the previous occasion people had success with cancelling prior to the SCs posting...

Same here, point landed, not yet the SC. In the previous similar promotions, it took about an extra week to get those SC, let's wait and see.
It's a bit annoying we can't call them on the week end for cancellation.

I cancelled yesterday. It was obvious I just signed up for the credits and they didn't sound too chuffed by it but hey, their rules!
 
Got my 50sc today, using the cheapest extra policy, while staying insured with my main provider.

My main insurer is one that is excluded from this promo, but my partner is the one holding the policy, and t&c wording indicate that policy holder is what matters for the exclusion.

The 60 days got paid with points, got most of them back with the signup bonus and wellbeing app.
 
Hi everyone. I received the 50 SCs yesterday, and the 6000 points a week prior. Just called to cancel and the Customer Service person (based in NSW) was very friendly and helpful, so that was nice.

Had my SC's & points posted couple months ago, but waited to cancel till today as had some dental work this past week, got the rebate etc.

Very friendly & helpful customer service operator. Amazing how quick the call was answered....need some of this service transferred to the Qantas Flight call center. So pleasant.
 
I got an email this morning for up to 140K bonus points - sounds like a similar deal to what is described in this thread without the SCs. I'm looking at getting cover anyway so thought I'd check it out but the site just keeps breaking for me - I can't get a quote - site breaks after details entered, the link mentioned in the bottom of the email "Each Qantas Health Insurance policy has a maximum number of points that can be earned upon purchase, which can be found here" goes to the wrong place, when I click view covers on the quote site, it's another dead end, etc. The whole site just seems to be defunct. Can anyone else get it to work? I just want to know what the bonus points are for the various options.
 
I can't vouch for reliability but I believe the promo might award the full 140k points by moving to top level hospital & extras around day 57, then dropping it back after day 60 under the cooling off period.

Did anyone try that? Currently sitting at around 35 days into a low level policy.
