50% points to NZ

Was pleasantly suprised to get 50% more points flying Melb to Auckland.

Apparently this is good till Sept:

With platinum status bonus got 4929 points each way (total 9858)
Since the ticket I bought cost $450.60 total, thats a fairly good points to earning ratio!

Shame I only got 40 SCs total though.

That Offer must have been extended; originally it was only until the end of May.

I have flown 3 times on this and am now happy to know I have another two bonus trips coming up.

Fairly empty

I wonder if the extension is due to poor load factors?

Being quite used to flying Mel--Syd and Mel-LA in 100% full planes every flight, found the recent NZ trip had plenty of spare seats each way.

Now if only there was a lot of competition on the Mel/Syd to LA route!
