Forgive me if this thread has been started already (searched, but only found previous deals).

I've been sent a 50% bonus SC offer. I'm assuming it's targeted as no one else has posted and two other QFF members in the house didn't get the offer.

Usual parameters apply. Valid for bookings next 7 days, QF flight numbers only for travel to 21 Jan 2015.

Sadly status runs are virtually impossible these days and were always of questionable value being based in DRW, but I'm open to suggestions (primarily with a LTG objective, rather than retaining status).

Hope some of you got the offer also!

I got it as well, April requal date.

Not sure if I can use it though, 7 days is too short to plan a proper holiday.

I can still see 2 QF flights per day, DRW - PER, $336 dep 14.20 on 25Dec, $336 dep 8.00 on 28Dec.
Not cheap, but these are Red E deals, so the cheapest.
I had the urge to fly a lot, and was going to make a major shot at Loyalty Bonus, (in my case), if QF (in my case) had not brought in the post Jul 14 changes, i would have booked more flights with QF.
You could go DRW to BNE too if you wanted to.
I presuppose you get AL/PH from work? Unless, heh, I am assuming too much!

Not assuming too much AP.

I was looking at DRW-BNE-DRW, but even that would only be 8.96/SC. I might be able to stage a run ex BNE and bring down the overall cost per SC, but I think it would still be up around 7/SC. Hardly compelling.

Once upon a time people were excited to get these deals.

Too many recent enhancements.

There is the special to ex BNE for HTI. Might be worth a few nights' stay too. Might be worth considering if that is your sort of thing. Maybe you could make a weekend of it. Just a thought.....

You cant beat QF at their own game.
At a certain stage, you have to just bite the proverbial bullet, buy the fare, and fly.
I was going to make QFF Loyalty Bonus prior to Jul changes.
But I will only make it QF PS, but I bit the bullet and bought those fares, now I have to fly them.
Couldnt keep doing what ifs.
If you are not too far off fir LTG, buy and fly I say.
Or J it if you can afford to.
DRW TO PER TO SYD TO BNE TO DRW.
Work it on 3 sectors per day and she will be right. QF online bookings won't allow more than 3 glight booking a day in one go.

Are people still getting emails about this offer?
I would love one.
Im 60 SC's shy of silver with a trip booked over the long weekend.
Just booked trip to Hong Kong iver Christmas. Wouldn't mind the status before that flight.

Was planning a status run and this would be welcomed.

First time for one of these, so happy about that. April end of year, and sitting on a measly 90SC's.

Might prompt me to make some trips, but 7 days is not long to make many plans.

I have just got the email. Book between now and 5 October for travel until 27 January.

Can someone please remind me why QF got rid of m/JASAs?

Interesting. Same offer, different date range. Mine expires 29 Sepember (today). Some kind of rolling promotion perhaps?

It will be interesting to see if others who missed out last week, get the one that JessicaTam recieved.

Vinomofo is the best wine deals site on the planet. Good wines, real people and epic deals, without all the bowties and bs.

If you think a 50% bonus offer is as big a shortcut as MASAs were.....
No I don't. But my point was that mASAs were stopped as they provided "cheap status". Which is what this offer provides.

I guess QF could debate that point.
Can't see anyone getting from scratch to P1 on a strictly time limited 50% SC offer. The same can't be said for perpetual JASA's

I got mine today, seems to be rolling. Book within 7 days valid for flights until 28th. I might just go ahead and book some. 31st Oct reset, only 70 SC. I will let it lapse and requal for WP hopefully by feb, id rather earn 1400 SC and have the WP for 1.8 years than requal now and only have it until 31 oct 2015. Flying while I am only Gold will be an effort now though.

Here's a question for fellow AFFer's that have experienced this before.

So I booked a Return flight during my 50% bonus SC offer period which ended yesterday.

Today I made a change to the outbound leg changing the fare class only (Flex fare to PE fare) otherwise same day, same flight.

Will I still get 50% bonus SC's considering I made a change to the ticket after the booking period for the offer, or does go by the initial ticketing date?
Or will this be an email the FF service centre for manual credit?

The T&C's on the offer I last received included:

If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking this bonus offer will not apply

Based on this, I would say your booking no longer qualifies.
