Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Well there is no statement in the terms and conditions which says you need to have been invited to use the promotion.

I think you will be fine (see above)
Depending on what you do with the points you might be better off with the 50,000 points offer.

For an extra $450 you get 50,000 points.
LAX return is 96,000 QFF points.
To buy a return ticket you will pay ~$2000
So paying the full price for the card does not seem too bad.

Thanks jingles, it was a toss up as to points or cash in hand. I ended up applying through the blue moon link, opting in the end to take the reduced fee over the points. Card arrived today, so obviously you don't have to be targetted.

I also did this, rang after I received it and had the $192 I paid in January for the Plat Maximiser replacement refunded.

So for $258, great value :)
