I am off to BKK and just checked the weather. You guess it rain!

Any one else off on a leisure trip?

GT

Looks like I will have a leisure trip with my pillow into the land of snooze.
Almost 7pm and still at work.
I might do a quick jaunt to SYD just for a couple of days, but certainly not my boozy trip to AKL as initially planned.

Off to the U.S of A for a field trip on paranoia. Side trips to a couple of locations too.

Taking three days off work, so 8 days total.

Niagara Falls, Washington, Los Angeles and a top secret location (not a rendition camp!) are on the agenda.

No further than Victoria for me...

National Championships of one of my pistol shooting sports...

Wish me luck!!!!!!

I do hope you'll be avoiding the explosive trace detection on the way back.... When I did explosives recgoition training (We take out IT industry seriously...) I returned a positive 14 days later...

It took some explaining and was free to go, an hour later.

Hi all,

Unusual for a AFF member but I'm going on a road trip from SYD-MEL to visit the museum for the King Tut exhibition.

9 hrs each way and 2 nights at the Westin, dinner at Cafe Di Stasio makes it all worth while.

A weekend away with the lads down near Mollymook.

One of the fellas wanted to bring the missus. He isn't coming anymore :p

Good luck with the traffic! As a former resident of Burrill Lake I appologise in advance for any rude locals who don't like tourists.

It might sound daggy but check out the Blessing Of The Fleet parade on Sunday if you get the chance.

Edit - If you plan to go to the Marlin they have a curfew of about 10pm so get there early or you won't get in.

Nothing for the Shrek family, both of us will be patching up the unfortunate souls visiting our respective ED's over the long weekend. And eating lots of chocolate to compensate

i am back at work from tomorrow. working all through the easter break, keeping the roads in Melbourne safe..;).

Some ones gotta keep the public health system alive.

Best of luck.

"we wont mention the q word."

GT

Aside : the q word is a 5 letter word and rhymes with riot. You never mention it in an ED

Don't say the Q word!! I am patching up people Thurs/Fri (drive safe, WA!) but get Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues off... I don't think I remember what people do on that many days away from work!
I hope the Shrek family EDs are tolerable, and that everyone else has a safe and lovely long weekend.:)

Sister is coming down from ROK on Friday evening. For Friday morning, if it isn't recovering from possibly a night out on Thursday evening then for some reason we are going to this lychee farm thing for the day.

Saturday is my belated birthday celebration with the family. Still trying to decide where to go, and hopefully that place will be open on Saturday.

For the rest, probably not much, however I've got so much work to do before I leave on 4 May that I'm probably going to need to do something on those days off.

Will be the first year in a few that I've not decided to go traveling around Anzac Day!

I'm driving to Barossa with a mate for the Easter break .... for a bit of wine tasting and eating!

I'm stuck in London unfortunately for work. Will also be stuck here for the wedding next week (plan on holing myself up in my apartment and not going outside that day!).

I have to work on Friday and Monday (Which is going to involve a shocking drive through London, which i'm not looking forward to really). I might find some time to have a few pints with some of the locals and ex-pats though :)

Nothing flash for me. I will be boarding a plane in a couple of hours - flying to Sydney airport for a meeting (at the airport :( ) - will then head to friends house for her innagural Good Thursday (?) dinner. (She's part of a new couple!)

Fly back Friday to deal with some stuff here.

Saturday fly back to Sydney for Easter weekend. Late flight, just enough time to get to Mum's before heading to midnight mass with family - Khristos Anesti and the like ;)

Come home Monday after stuffing self to enjoy an Anzac Day on the couch and actually have some 'me' time on the weekend.

As said - nothing flash - but a nice change from work.

many happy returns! :)

...and a Happy Easter / Pasach / Passover / Long Weekend / Anzac Day to everyone! :) :) :)

I get to fly from ADL to somewhere other than SYD (BNE in this case) with the family on Friday. I've already put the kids into 1A and F. Not sure if I should put the old gold QFF tags on their barbie carry on bags or the new WP tags.
Then on Saturday it is a quick pick up of someone arriving on JQ from BNE airport and a drive to Tenterfield for a wedding on Sunday. I really want to visit the surf and sea at Byron on the way for lunch. But the wife wants to go straight to Tenterfield, do not pass go. That might be a food idea as neither of us can remember which hotel we booked. Hopefully the friend on JQ remembers.

Back to BNE for a drop off on Monday night. Then I have a week in Brisbane to visit family and friends. And I think a GC shopping trip.

We were looking for a quiet weekend away and so booked some Red e-Deals to ADL a while back ... where we expect it to be very quiet! Still wondering about passing up the opportunity for a JASA run to CNS.

Attending a wedding tonight. Then showing the dog at Castle Hill on Friday. Saturday up (or west) to Adelaide for a rehearsal and then Sunday the National Band Championship.
Monday positioning flight to BNE and first leg of NAN run to MEL. Then Tuesday MEL SYD NAN. Couple of days there and then back home to Sydney.

Sounds like a perfect break to me :D
