3K and electronic devices during take off and landing

It has been a few years since handheld electronic devices were allowed to be used during take off and landing on most reputable airlines.

However, 3K is still behind the times and do not allow electronic devices to be used.

I assume the only reason they persist with this policy is to annoy their customers.
 
Same on Comair/BA in South Africa a couple of weeks back. No electronic devices for take off and landing

Same on SAA as well. Probably more an issue with the regulator. Perhaps the same applies in Singapore (not sure what SQ does?)

SQ allows electronic devices during take off and landing so Singapore is not the problem.

I note (from the PA announcement today) that 3K have finally relaxed their electronic devices policy during take off and landing and it now aligns with JQ.
