30% Bonus Miles

Received an email this morning with an offer of 30% Bonus Miles, i don't think its targeted in anyway (My wife got it as well, and we haven't travelled on AA yet)

I got it too. I seem to recall that I had one last month as well. Maybe not though, between AA, USDM, BMI DC and BAEC I seem to be inundated with offers.

Does AA Do specials often. Tempted to buy some.

Is this good value?

its great value depending on where you wish to travel for example syd to tlv in j is 45k one way against qantas round 150k
syd to lhr is 60k against qantas whopping 128k one way 140k OW if choosing cathay and the taxes are far less than antas pts awards
the bonus pts however dont appear for almost 3 mths

I followed the OP's link, but it doesn't display anywhere that bonus points are involved in the transaction. Does anyone know if this is actually targeted, and thus I wouldn't get any bonus points if I were to buy some? Many thanks.
