Just noticed at https://www.citibank.com.au/AUGCB/I...er_content/discount_offer&tabId=cc,rewards,do that there's now 3 bonus points per dollar for the bonus partners. Some interesting partners on the list now, including JB Hi-Fi and the Intercontinental Hotels Group.

Boost your balance with 4 points

All your favourite rewards will be yours sooner when you spend at our new Bonus Partners.

As a Citi Gold or Platinum Cardholder you will now earn 3 Bonus Points on top of the 1 Citi Rewards point you already receive - that's 4 points per dollar spent.

Turbo charge your points balance every time you spend with one of our Bonus Partners featured below.

Bonus points are earned on purchases made at participating Australian Bonus Partner retailers only. The Bonus Partner program is only available to Citi Gold, Citi Business and Platinum Cardholders who are enrolled in the Citi Rewards program. Citi Business Cardholders can earn a maximum of 4.25 points per dollar spent. Cardholders that reach the maximum number of points accumulated in a twelve month period beginning and ending on the anniversary date your account is enrolled in the rewards program will continue to earn bonus rewards points.

JB is a great inclusion, as that's one of the few places I use my Plat Citibank (they charge commission for AMEX).

Some good restaurant/bar inclusions too - China Doll (also QFF), Argyle and the "Phoenix" chain.

Thanks for the link!

Excellent! Good to see that I can bonus points in Citibank AND Qantas for Phoenix restaurants .. Becomes total of 7 points per dollar .... Somehow I missed this on my last two YumChas at Hilltop Phoenix.

Out of curiosity, I have both Citibank Rewards and Westpac Altitude. Has anybody done a comparison to see whether the reward partners differ much? JB's has been added to Altitude recently as well.

Edit: nevermind. I had a quick skim through and it looks like the same places, by and large.

I'd guess JB's is feeling the effect of the Everyday Rewards card now being able to be used at DSE and needing to fight that. That being said, 3 bonus points is worth more in the Citibank Rewards program rather than the Altitude program, looking at the transfer rates.

Not sure if Citibank has the same exclusions as Altitude, but not all Crowne Plaza's give bonus points under the Alititude scheme. For example, Crowne Plaza Gold Coast does not.

What's the difference? I thought they were both 0.5 points / point (at least for Krisflyer and Velocity...)

They transfer through at 10,000 points for every 15,000 points transferred - so 0.66 points / point. So a better conversion rate, but a higher initial transfer required.

Oh... it's been a long time since I last checked... I could have sworn it used to be 1:0.5. Cool!

But Altitude still works out marginally better for me as a Platinum card holder. If I use my Altitude Amex it's 6pts/$ for the bonus partners which converts to 3 Velocity / Krisflyer points. With Citibank it'd be 4pts/$ which is 2.67, which would be better than my Altitude Visa, which would only be 2.

Ah, so here's the plan: Citibank for Visa, Westpac for Amex :-)

Anyone got their bonus points yet? Just made some purchases at JB HiFi last month ($100 and $140) and it looks like the bonus points were never applied (ie. points accumulated for the month was roughly equal to the credit balance for that month). Should be 720 points more if the bonus points were applied.

Yes, I got my bonus points. No idea exactly when it happened, but I bought something before Christmas, and the points showed up in the statement I received mid-Jan.

Does anyone know if this bonus applies to Qantas Citi Rewards? Or is it just Citi Rewards?
