Its only luggage, and should be insured. If you lose anything you will remember it for a month.Take the trip:D You will remember that for years.
Definitely taking the trip although I would like to have the luggage when I return to Thailand.

You obviously do not own tailored Golf Clubs ... :p
Only a cheap set of golf clubs. :p

JohnK, if you are passing through HKG at/before the start and at/after the end of your (2 day?) MR, I would use the HKG left luggage facility.
Unfortunately with the revised schedule I do not get into HKG until day 2 and it is only for an hour or so. No time to use left luggage.

I will be looking for a place in SIN or BKK to shrink wrap luggage and clubs. I will try to get the taxi driver to take luggage along with my friend, or leave it at BKK airport or failing those options I can leave it in TPE for 2 days or 1 day in TPE and 1 day in HKG.

The status run is happening. I just hope the AUD continues to rise and the airfares stay cheap until I can pay for them next week sometime....

I recall seeing shrink wrap facilities in SIN last time I was there, near the tourist refund place (before you check in).
