Wild weather may disrupt air travel to and from Hong Kong and surrounding areas over the next few days

Tropical storm Doksuri, currently located in the South China Sea, is expected to track northwest over the next few days, with typhoon-force winds, heavy rainfall and flash floods likely to impact south-eastern China, including the cities of Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen when the storm makes landfall.

Whilst the storm if not expected to hit Taiwan, heavy rains and rough seas are forecast for southern and south-eastern parts of Taiwan.

The following areas are also likely to be affected: Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain and Abra provinces (all Philippines); and the counties of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung, as well as the Hengchun Peninsula (all Taiwan).
