Just wanted to post my recent experience with the card...
I've used it in many countries now, without too many issues (although I had one about a year ago in Japan, I think I posted about that). I'm in Japan again at the moment, and had to take out a heap of cash recently (you have to prepay apartments here!).
My card limit is 2K, I had about 4K of my own funds on the card, so a total of 6K. Last year I ran into problems because I attempted to take out more than $1000 as a cash withdrawl in one day, the card was locked for 24 hours. So I was careful not to do that this time. Day 1 I took out ~$950, Day 2 I took out ~$950, Day 3 I attempted to take out ~$950, but the card wouldn't work.
After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing on the phone, it turns out that despite the fact that their website says a max of $1000 per day, it's actually a max of your credit limit (so, in my case, 2K) per length of time it takes between you taking the money out, and the transaction showing in the transaction history on the wizard website. This length of time varies based on a lot of factors, and the only way to check it is to either log in, or attempt to take more money out, according to Wizard. And, according to wizard, continually attempting to get money out, when you've already gone past your max for the day, will not lock up the card, although after my experiences last year, I'm not in a hurry to test that.
In my experience, in Japan, it took about 4 business days for the transaction to show up, and I could take more money out.
I tried to up my limit whilst trying to sort all of this out (I've had the card for about 2 years, no late payments, have used it quite regularly etc), and they said that they aren't issuing increases to anyone. Not at all sure if this is true though.
I still think this card is a great travelers credit card, but always make sure you have a second or third cash option as well...
