Hi
I am new to Wizard Mastercard...
I am going to oversea from tomorrow.. so i put credit in to my account on the 2nd of Dec in the evening.. i have heard it takes about 3working day to hit the account..... it is 5th of Dec today,, but i cant see any credit in my account yet
I have spoke to the customer services in this morning and they cant even see it yet on their system..

Does anyone have experience like me?:(
please let me know

Thank you

Since you are new to the card I assume you have put the money there using Bpay, using the card number only and not the account number as appeared in the statement.

Putting the money to the card number instead of the account number may delay the process by may be 2-3 days, I am not sure on this.

and since you have done it on 2/Dec evening it will get processed on the 3/Dec.

if the amount does not appear on the web by 9/Dec I will give them a call...

As an example, Tuesday (25th) 3pm last week I used Bpay from my online ANZ account to put some funding into my Wizard for this weekend's travel.

It did not credit until Friday 28th.

I hope it will hit by tomorrow morning !

I tried to BPAY for the first time on Monday. Used the card # as reference, and the money has still not hit my account (as of Friday). What is the maximum time it can take to transfer?

I find that when using the card number, rather than the account number (which is different) can take up to 2 days longer.

My first Wizrd BPAY was last Monday (8th), and the money has still not hit the account (as of this morning).

Has anyone else had BPAY problems from transfers last week?

It doesn't give me much faith in the card!

Has anyone dexperienced similar timeframes?

Hi embev,

I am going to deposit money via eBay this morning,
using the account number rather than the card number,
(the proper way to deposit)

I will let you know....

I haven't read through all of this thread, so apologies if I'm repeating here. If you have applied online and received your Wizard Mastercard, they will send you, with your card, an additional lengthy personal particulars form to complete and return. Your card WILL NOT work overseas until they have received this back from you.

Secondly, I have used the card for cash advances (after putting it into credit) in USA, Canada, Hong Kong and the Philippines - as far as I can recall it has always worked in ATM's with the Mastercard logo. Some of these want to charge an extra withdrawal fee and will display this on the screen up front. I have skipped these and moved on to the next ATM that I find, and have never gone to more than 3 before finding one that doesn't charge extra.

This was not the case for me; I applied online last February, and received the card a week or so later.

I had no additional forms to fill out. I have since used it in the USA, Croatia, Singapore and New Zealand with no concerns.

No issues for me. I BPAY'ed using Commonwealth Bank phone banking on Tuesday December 09 and the money appeared on my Wizard Mastercard account on Thursday December 11 with a transaction date of December 09.

B-Pay card payments have always lagged a few days for me, but then so have purchases and cash advances. It's almost as though they punch everything into the web feature manually !!

Only just found this site and I am finding the information and knowledge of the members great.

As I will be traveling extensively in europe next year, I am keen to find the best option be it a credit card or one of the pre paid cash cards that are widely available. With the volatile $au I was wondering if a cash card would be a better option as I can lock in the exchange rate. If I go with a credit card (the Wizard clear mastercard sounds excellent) I would not have that luxury.

Hi Marie,

If you are so certain that the AUD is going to tank in the future, traveler's cheque will do the job as well as for locking in the rate.

I think pre-paid cash cards sometimes have significant fees and their exchange rate is not all that great.

I belive you can never predict the forex rate.... if we believe what we heard from the "economists" AUD will be at par with the USD now... :(

For me the wizard C.A. MC always gives me the best rate ... I had yet to find better ways of getting foreign cash....

To lock in the exchange rate you would have to find a cash card that gives you the card credit in the foreign currency. Most cash cards are in AUD and you still pay the forex rate of the day.

I agree with FL360. I have used many different cash options overseas, and the Wizard CA MC beats the lot.

I also applied for a Wizard card after reading about it here and I just wanted to pipe in with the results of my recent credit card experiment.

While in London last month, I bought the same product from the same store on the same day using the Wizard card for one purchase and my Amex card for another. The item was GBP99. Wizard converted this across to AUD234.30 while Amex charged AUD242.09. A difference of $7.79. A good saving in my opinion.

I have just received my Wizard Card in preparation for my trip to Thailand but I am confused as how to put money on the card in advance so I can use it like a cash card. I have read other people using this method so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
