I have just cancelled my application for a 28° and submitted an online application for the Citibank Plus...thanks to this thread![]()
Don't understand why you cancelled the application for 28degrees. Why not just have both, both are free to keep open, and just use both for their best uses ie. 28degrees for overseas purchases, Citibank Plus for overseas withdrawals?
I guess all 28Deg cardholders will receive this - http://email.gemoney.com.au/servlet....25VTfhgKHR.25VTUEpgMhFLsLJmkpJIpJRJsLDJhtDHN - might be one last hurrah for many.
Probably - I will take a look at specified time - but this card WILL be canned in NY as I guess many others will do same.Yes, got that but isn't it just SOP for 28D - go shopping save transaction fees? They're just riding on Black Friday I guess..
I've had occasion overseas where the Citibank Plus has been rejected electronically and I had to revert to the 28 Degree Card. It's a very useful backup.I only travel internationally 3 or 4 times a year and for the few larger purchases I use my normal Visa. Obviously I incur a fee for this but I also earn FF points.
The Citi Plus A/c will allow me to travel with less cash. I just feel I don't have a need for the 28° at this stage

Again where in New York via ATM to get free cash withdrawal(no fee) with 28 degrees and Citi bank Plus?
Can I clarify the maths / rationale for my benefit?Yes I use Select for ALL o/s purchases.
Spot on Mr Brash! Can I clarify the maths / rationale for my benefit?
5 Citi rewards points per dollar spent on international purchases, which TFs to Kris Flyer at 3:2 so 3.33 Kris Flyer points per $ spent overseas. Is the citibank Fx fee 3% or 3.5%? So, you are "buying" KF miles at just under 1 cent per KF mile if the former, and just over 1 cent per KF mile if the latter?? If redeeming for SQ J and F awards (which I think you always do), then it's a good deal....

No offence taken....but I don't think I'm a lot younger than you Cruiser Elite, I reckon less than 10 yearsSpot on Mr Brash!
Note: That comment is not referring to your demeanor kpc - it is a line from an add for Brashes Music Store which aired on TV when most of you 'kids' were still waddling around your parents lounge rooms in your nappies.
Thanks for the additional maths Deka...I have the Citibank Signature fee free for life...3%
On Signature where it's only 4 ppd overseas (2.666 KF miles per dollar), so it's costing you just over 1c per mile/point. Not quite as good, but still a good way to earn lots if that's the card you have...
cove, have to decide whether it is worth my while (and annual fee for Select) to change from fee free Signature to Select...(see above)Kpc your mathematics are accurate with 3.33 points for the cost of about 1 cent per point using Citi Select non Qantas.
Catch up for dinner if have a night free?We will get to Sydney late December as we are going to the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne for a couple of days.
