I was looking at my shiny new QFF card and realised that in June I will have been a member for 20 years. I wonder if QF will have a little treat in store to help me celebrate? Mind you, having scaled the heights of membership levels when tier credits expired I have now returned to NB so it may be a very little treat!

Happy Anniversary! I am 1 year behind so will be interested to know...

Zilch - nothing. For me they did not treat me at the 20 year mark, not did I expect / hope for anything.

I see a great marketing opportunity though - Be 21 again. Each year Qantas hosts a party for its members who turn 21 in the scheme!

At 21 years in QFF scheme I also got zilch

18 years for me.....I got all the thanks I need from QF when they let the 4 amaroos fly F on QF11 via the upgrade lottery :D

If I don't receive another treat - I'd still be a very happy QFF.

Maybe I've had all my treats : a half-bottle of champagne on leaving the aircraft (the FA thought they had run out), a free Qantas carry-on bag which I stiil use (proudly!), upgrades from Y to J for four on a trip from Oz to Europe (to cover an admin error) and a Qantas Loyalty lunch. Not to mention all the friendly welcomes on boarding the flight for the long trip back to Oz. Hey, there are some very positive things about this airline!

31 years up last month. Don't hold your breath waiting for something!

Qantas Frequent Flyer was started in 1987 if you accept the Captains Club was the precursor which is what QF use, with Flight Deck being the QP membership date.

I know what your saying, you joined the Flight deck club aka lounge at that time, but actual membership of QFF would be later when the scheme was created. I was poining out that interestingly qantas chose their lounge membership program as the date QFF started, reality would suggest its much later given the first Australian frequent flyer program started in 1991 by Ansett, yet they also acknowledge Flight deck membership preceding that. I think we had a similar discussion in 2009.

I'm coming up to 20 years at QFF as well - Feb 1994.

At that time, the entry level was White, my salutation was Master, there were only two elite tiers, and the FF currency was credited according to kilometres travelled.

Mine shows APR 91..I was joined up as a result of complimentary membership of the "Executive Club" that was formed in answer to Compass. Nice to see a 000 member, mine starts at 001.
As a result of my particular occupation at that time my op-up rate was over 90%. (the good old TAA and Australian days).
You would think Qantas could acknowledge us "old buggers" just for being around this long, even though periods of little travel in some jobs. :D

Three elite levels (making a total of four) when I joined in october 1994 and domestically it was 20, 50 and 80 flights for Blue, Silver and Gold respectively. (There was also a pro rate status earn between domestic Km and International Km)

Only Gold gave QP access ...

My 20 yr is up in a few months obviously ...

I have a start date of April 1988 ( yet my membership year ends in August)
Membership number. 00xx_XX. All courtesy of my Lifetime Flight Deck membership. My poor skills at flight planning and achieving status for the first 24 years has meant I'm not even close to LTS , in spite of achieving WP every year since joining this forum.
