2026 Qantas Preflight Safety Video

Amazing would probably be on any of my playlists and I do like the song; would be very comfortable hearing it a few times a day. The melody itself is pretty cool but there's a bit of me that finds it odd why Qantas decided on that track for a safety video. Don't think there's a Qantas X Alex Lloyd happening in the works.

In my mind I have that shelved in the same area as Vanessa Amorosi "Shine" (probably both featured on the same So Fresh CD).

Ironically was the last song used by Ansett

I always thought Amazing was a bit meh. In 25 years of Australian music, there's better options. Maybe the rights were cheap?

I always really liked the 2013 one they had for a bit. Which showed all the different qantas staff doing different jobs associatedw with the operation. Made me pay attention much more than the destination themed ones. Crucially, it was actually in an airplane.

My favourite one was the successor to this, the "safety in style one", filmed in an aircraft but just enough pizzazz to make it entertaining enough to watch

It's not too dissimilar to this, but the staff used are only crew, pilots, engineers and trainers.

Oh dear. Not a fan at all. It’s one giant snooze fest complete with AI pax.
Cabin crew great as always but a Temu budget complete with dodgy noughties Alex Lloyd instrumental.

I don't mind it at all.

Yes, they took out all the flair. This is as straightforward as it gets since the old "Subtly" video series, but more natural (oddly enough) and flowing. Kinda oddly refreshing to see features of the cabin actually shown in... well, the cabin.

The AI passengers are a bit weird, but at least the action is squarely on the demonstration crew member. I think this video theme can be summarised as such: this is about the Qantas staff (crew etc).

The Amazing theme comes through and at least it is instrumental. Not sure how many Australians know the song (keeping in mind a good deal of pax now might be born after or was living outside Australia when the song was a hit).

If people wanted vanilla, they got it. And at 4 minutes in length for the B737, that's hard not to give points for. I wonder if QantasLink audio demo tracks are being updated with the same theme.

I do get a feeling like this is a temporary video while Qantas cooks up its next big production.

4 mins in length is about the same amount of time as all the other videos, interestingly. As much flair as there was in the previous iteration, a lot of that was removed for the domestic onboard cut

I love the cinematography. Finnair caught my eye with their amazing camerawork. This one is not bad.

Better than SQ/GA and some other airlines with their abstract safety demonstrations. I always thought it was a bit distracting. Well done to QF getting the safety message across, I think it’s much needed after all the recent incidents. I like how practical and to the point it is as well.

Good stuff. I thought it was odd that for a B737 safety video, they showed a twin aisle in many shots. And do any B737s have seat-back screens any more? Sure, its 'generic' past the intro (except for lighting down the seats ..), but dedicated cabins would have killed them?

Are the pax AI generated? Other than one guy in a foreground who looks very wooden, I thought they were a bunch of actors - or 'ordinary folk' told to 'look normal'.

I like it.

I thought actors too, but I’m pretty gullible.
